Cool, cloudy and damp this morning in KC. This afternoon, Rosie and I will go over to #3s house and I'll get started on the shock/strut replacements. Thought I might try and take in a Royals game, but I'll probably just watch from home, it's going to be cold and damp, and I'm just not in the mood to sit through that, and not even sure if I brought along enough of the right type of clothing for it either. I must admit, I really enjoyed the swim meet yesterday. Been a long time since I was at one. I volunteered to time (they have electronic timing, but use two hand held watches as backup/verification on each lane) the neat part of timing is, you are right in the middle of the action, interacting with the swimmers, getting wet and seeing the swimming close up. I really enjoy talking to the kids and encouraging them. At the end of the meet I had, at least three kids come up to me and thank me for encouraging them, cheering them on and praising them for there efforts. Made me feel real good that the youth still craves that type of attention. My GD told them "That's my grandpa." And said it in a very sincere and proud way. Letty, I saw where you got the results of the MRI. I hope they can now get things worked out for you. Well, I trust everyone here will have a great day. |
