Subject: Re: Snowy Saturday chat 4/29/2017 by teebee on 2017/4/29 13:46:32 Well, we aren't at home, but they got about 8 inches of snow overnight. 6" are still there, ground was so warm that the first two inches melted. Still snowing and the worst is supposed to come tonight into tomorrow. All they are saying is 12+ inches expected. Limbs and in some cases whole trees down. I was just telling some people the other day, I was worried about our trees as they hadn't leafed out yet. When we left Monday, they had barely just started. I'm now thinking they knew something nobody else did. I didn't raise no dumb trees.  Funny thing, the tree on the north side of our drive and my neighbors tree about 30 feet away are the same species, his tree had leafed out two to three weeks ago and was really pretty, ours just looked like sticks. I guess we'll see what they look like when we get home.Here in KC it's chilly and raining. All the activities the kids were involved with have been cancelled for the weekend. Not a lot planned here, just get my ears lowered some. I hope everyone here has a great day. |
