Hey guys, the agenda was quite random today. I decided to go over and wash the Corvette before it got too hot. The car wash was over by the motel M was in. So as we went out to the car there was a new Z06 sitting there next to mine with Iowa tags. We looked at it a little and headed over to the car wash. I sprayed it off real good and got my towels out to dry it off and the Z06 pulls into the stall next to me. A line starts to develop so I pulled mine out to finish drying it. I left the door open so I could finish cleaning and drying the door sills and jamb. The guy in,the Z pulls his. Out and right behind me to dry his off. Well, knowing me, I'm sure that you know I had to talk to him about his car. We talked for about 15 or 20 minutes. Then we all got in our cars to leave and mine goes click-click-click. SH!T.

The guy gets out of his car and asked if there was a problem....Yea, the battery is dead. I sent a text to M telling him I was dead in the water. And then I told the guy we might be able to start it by pushing. So he and his wife and Rosie push me a little and get me going. So before M could get over there, we made it to his motel. I told him I thought we better go have it tested. So I went off to find the Chevy dealer by Ms' suggestion.

We find the dealer, they are a big Corvette dealer 7 or 8 new ones and several used ones. Yes, they had the correct battery. I asked if they had time to put it in....."We'll have to charge for that." "Doesn't matter," says I. "I really don't have the tools with me to swap it myself". So they work it in pretty quick. In the meantime, M and L show up and while I'm waiting for mine to be done, they start looking at new ones sitting there and the salesmen are licking their chops. We looked at, sat in and started up a 17 Black Rose metallic Grand Sport. Pretty car, but no way could I afford it.

We left there with our own cars and my wallet a bit lighter. We drove down to Deadwood and ate lunch then drove over to Sturgis and did a little shopping. M and L went back to the motel to rest, while Rosie and I headed over to Rapid City to look at the Presidents. They have full sized bronze statues of each president on the downtown street corners. Pretty cool. Rosie and are now just waiting to do supper.

Sorry about the cat Gris.
