Got the grass cut and cleaned up so I can't say I was completely useless today. Getting ready for a workout now. I did some diagnosis on the car yesterday. Switch and wiring are good. Visual inspection revealed a broken plastic piece that the seat adjustment cable connects to. Awesome. Non serviceable and a poor design using plastic instead of metal or a different mounting style. The rumor is you can't glue this specific plastic and there are no replacement parts. You have to buy a "rebuilt" track from one of the vendors. I call BS. I have a new type of glue/hardener called Q-bond. It's like super glue on steroids. It uses glue along with a powder hardening agent and it hardens like metal. I did that last night and it looks promising on first inspection. I'll know once I get it all put back together and installed. Hope everyone has a great day! |
