I have been looking online after seeing some windmill palms that grow year round in Memphis. There are some "cold hardy" varieties - way more than I thought. I plan to get one once I make up my mind . I also am worried for you. This storm looks like a horrible one. They say it's the worst in history and can wipe the place off the map. And with that in mind, we have folks here bitching because Miami has cancelled the game with us. Seriously? FB pages are blowing up like mad along with sports show radio stations around here. It's insane. Now I know that for whatever reason, they didn't want to come here to start with and was trying to avoid it, then they were offered an opportunity to reschedule, and declined instead and cancelled due to the hurricane. Folks here say that's an "excuse" and call him out because he is going to Alabama this weekend to get ready for an upcoming game next weekend - or so the story goes. Either way, safety is more important, I'm not judging. Cold front here too - was 89 or something today and beautiful and by the time I got home was like 70. I'm not liking this fall crap. Nope. |
