Hello. I'm back. Just got power last night. The Lower Keys got slammed. We got hammered. Trees down and one of the bands dumped huge amount of water. Flooded out the back shed and the container. The yard got totally trashed. The house stood up fine except for the screened patio. The water at the office/shed was 4-6" below the threshold so I built it at the right height. Everything was fine there except a small snake found refuge there but he was picked up and released. I could write a short story on all the prep, the storm and the ongoing clean up. Nursery lost the dry house and a shade house. The grow house and another shade house did fine . Office OK but one wall with some water damage. I have a ton of work to do. So far the vacation is still on. 10 days to get her done. Sue's phone is burning up with phone calls. We have to get our stuff back in order before she takes on any outside work. Trees down everywhere. We were without power for three days. The electric companies (6 states) are doing a great job of trying to get everybody turned back on. For some, they will be without power for awhile. Back to the recovery effort. Days and days of work ahead. Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes. Oh, ya. The cars did just fine. Got about 3-4 inches of water in the garage it was gone in a day.
