Subject: Re: Thursday Chat 11.30.17 by TommyT-Bone on 2017/11/30 12:40:16 Continued from yesterday. I have a whopping 3 college credits from a welding course I took when I was stationed in Germany. Yep, it was a class offered by a university. Instead I continued my education in a carpenters apprenticeship program that I never finished due to a near death illness that almost took Sonny-boy when he was 18 months old. My early life was pretty much one tragedy after another which aided in my choice of alcohol and drug therapies. I was always hard working so I fell into the class of functioning alcoholic. Do I want any sympathy? Fuck, no. I never lived up to my fullest possible potential nor will I ever. I've always had a job, a roof over my head, food on the table, and family medical insurance. Family medical insurance saved me from financial ruin on multiple occasions. Together, Sue and I are doing pretty damned good. Money in the bank, cars, properties all amassed through hard work and diligent saving. I guess you could say I graduated from the school of hard knocks. Learned everything the hard way.
