They were making smores over a campfire in the back yard. They invited Sue and I over to join them. Sue went over but I gracefully declined. They mentioned to Sue "I thought Tommy was from Boston. Thought he'd be used to this weather." Which is why I didn't want to hang around outside. I hung around outside in the cold enough to last me a lifetime although a little fire makes it more inviting. One of the benefits of being retired is that I can go outside, most of the time, when I want to go outside. Or I can basque in the warmth of a heated home. Guess which one I pick. |
