MIL is out of the hospital and into a rehab. A couple of days ago when Sue was at the hospital she asked the attending nurse about when they cleaned the wound on her mothers leg. The nurse responded 'Oh, we don't do that." Sue said "What do you mean you don't do that? It's on the doctors orders." Sue being Sue she pursued it through the chain and insisted upon talking to an administrator. It appears some nurses were signing off on cleaning the wound and NOT cleaning the wound. Vulcan hospitals. Sue's mother accidentally called Sue last night meaning to call Sue's father. She was in a lot of pain and no pain meds. Sue talked with the nurse. "I just put the prescription into the pharmacy 10 minutes ago." the nurse responded. Her mother was at the rehab most of the day and here it is many hours later they're just putting in for her pain meds. The hospitals have got bigger and tech has gone through the ceiling but I question medical care today. The revolving door of medicine has really lost it's sense of direction. Care is maybe not the right word nor is attention. It's kind of like in the commercials. "I'm just a monitor."
