Well, we just got home from the 'city'...well actually 20 miles east of the 'city'. I (Rosie and I) volunteered to go pick up our priest who flew into the 'city' after a 6 week trip home (the Philippines) to see his ailing mother...she passed during his stay. This ended a 36 hour journey for him. As it turned out several parishioners came over to see him home. I think he was surprised and happy to see us there waiting....well, he was expecting me, the others not so much. He was pretty talkative on the way home, but you could tell he was tired. He made a comment that it was noon Tuesday in Manila already, so at least he gained some time. It will take him a while to recoup from his jet lag. |
