Hopefully the tools will go to good use and not become garage art or tool eye candy.

What is ironic is that now that I can afford the nice stuff, I don't need it anymore. My daily drivers are newer and nicer, and the Corvette is basically trouble free. When I was younger and had very few tools is when I was actually doing the heavy work. As I progressed I saw how helpful it was to have the specialty stuff and better quality tools. So I've amassed quite a collection. A strange inverse relationship. I'd like to do more automotive work, but it's mostly limited to repairs on family members' cars, etc. Or a $35 wrench is used to put together a kid's scooter or bicycle. I was thinking about it the other day...how lucky my son will be when he turns 16 and gets a car. If something needs to be fixed and he can't find the tool in my garage, it probably can't be fixed. Still a few years away, but I'm actually looking forward to that.
