BUSY DAY, COON TRANSPLANT, AUTO ROTATION, AND THEN I FINISHED TRIMMING, PILLED UP ON ASPIRIN AND TOOK A NAP. THEN STARTED CUTTING THE YARD, DIDN'T EVEN GET HALF DONE WHEN THE MOWER BROKE DOWN AND I HAD TO HAVE IT HAULED IN FOR REPAIR. I FEEL SO STOVE UP I DREAD GETTING UP IN THE MORNING. IT MAY TAKE GIN POLES AND A WINCH TO GET ME OUT OF BED.

IT'S BEEN VERY COLORFUL AROUND THE FEEDERS, WITH THE USUAL MOB OF GOLDFINCHES, INDIGO BUNTINGS, CARDINALS, ROSE BREASTED GROSBEAKS, AND BALTIMORE OREOS. THE GROSBEAKS HAVE BEEN SEEN BEFORE, BUT SELDOM. NOW THERE IS A SMALL FLOCK OF THEM. THE OREOS I HAVE NEVER SEEN HERE IN 18 YEARS. NOW THERE MUST BE A HALF DOZEN OR MORE. ANOTHER MANIFESTATION OF AN UNUSUAL SPRING, ALONG WITH COOLER WEATHER FLUCTUATIONS AND NO TORNADOES.
