Morning guys.... I’m up and around. I’ve had my shower, shaved and....well, you know. I’m all packed up and ready to head southwest. It’s pretty chilly here this morning, 32 as I type. Headed to 50 here, though. I’m headed home to where the expected high is going to be mid 40s...I thought it was supposed to be warmer as you go south?

It’s been a great 3 days here. Yesterday we went to the capitol city and to The American Speed Museum. Anyone remember “Speedway” ? The original speed parts mail order place, since 1948. Well that the guy who started this Museum. Three flooors of American speed stuff, rare engines, cars and toys that go back to the 30s. Well worth the stop, if you are in the area. We got there at about 1pm as the info we got said open at 12:30, but it was locked up tighter than a drum. Marcus went over to the retail part of the place to ask about it. While we stayed there nearly freezing our butts (the wind was a bit. chilly). Shortly there after, Marcus wasn’t back yet, a guy comes by and asks us what we were doing and were we there to see the museum. By then, we had seen where the winter times were Monday AND Friday, not Monday through Friday. We told him yes, and that two of the guys had come from Seattle and Detroit to see it. He said let me make a phone call...he immediately called someone and said “Someone will be here in a few minutes”, “thank you very much and about that time Marcus shows back up telling us the same thing. We get in and the little gal tells us we have the run of the place, but only until 3pm. We ask “Where do we pay?” She say “Don’t worry about that, just enjoy ourselves” Awesome! Extremely accommodating people, just like you would expect from breadbasket of America.

Well, I better get my bag loaded and head for home....5 1/2 to 6 hours. Later folks, have a great day.
