Worked on an older Nissan Maxima last week. No start. I diagnosed it as a fuel pump, swapped it out still wouldn't start. Beat my head against the wall for about 6 hours because of it. Friend took it to a former Nissan mech and he swapped out the entire fuel module assembly and now it runs. I have mixed feelings...glad it's running and that I technically diagnosed it right. Mad because my inexperience led me to replace the individual pump versus the entire (more expensive) assembly. I won't make that mistake again. Hope everyone has a great day! |
