Worked in the shop most of the day. Bench is all fitted, and major parts stained....tomorrow I'll assemble/glue it together. Also worked on the doors to some cabinets I'll be building for Rosie's new office. I wasn't sure I was going to get that job, as it was included with a bigger project I didn't want to mess with. But I talked with the contractor and he was willing to let me do them, but wanted to make sure I knew where I needed to be price-wise. I was thinking I could do the project for $1200-1500......he showed me his bid (from a local box store) and they were at $3500 ....Wow! Yea, I'll do it for that amount and I'll install them for you! So I got the job. Pretty easy money! It did warm up, but not into the low 40s, just the upper 30s...but snow was melting really well. |
