Hey guys...I got an early start today. My lumber truck was supposed to be here around 8 am to unload some counter top material and some plywood. I needed the fork lift (remember, I use the schools) and 8 isn't a great time for the truck to be pulling around the school, so I told him I'd get the fork and we'd just unload at the house. So last night, I called one of the maintenance guys to arrange using the fork. I told him I'd come get it early. Then I watched the weather and found out it was going to be a balmy 5 with breezes making the wind chill -8 to -10 at 7am. This prompted me to gather lots of warm clothes and really regretting having to drive the fork 1/2 mile from the school to the house. Anyway I got up and around, and was at school by 7:20 and was back home by 7:45...I went inside to warm up a bit, when my phone rang...."hey Tom, how soon will you be done with the fork?" "I just got here and the truck isn't here yet....Why?" "Well, we have a delivery truck here needing to unload a couple pallets." ....crap "I'll call my truck and see how long it will be." So I call and he says it will be about 30 minutes, so I told him I was going back to school to unload there, then I would be right back. Then I call the school guy and tell him I'm on my way. So I road the fork back to school, unload the pallets and head back home. Just as I turn the corner, my truck comes around the block. I get out and help the driver open the side of the truck and then unload my stuff, help him close up the trailer sign the papers and jump back on the fork, and pick up the load, 12' long material, and haul it around the block and down the alley to put it on the saw horses under the awning at the shop. Then I head back to the school. By the time I get back in my pickup, it's 9:10 and I'm a frozen Popsicle. It took until noon before my finger warmed up and another hour after that before my toes warmed.

I'm kind of wishing I was with Marcus.....

Rosie and I did meet with the CPA (we got a new one this year...his office is here in town, instead of the 'city') and he says we will be getting a refund from Fed and have to pay a little to the State. Better than last year where we had to pay (big time) to Fed and a little to the state.

I'm still trying to warm up.

Oh, this evening our priest flys back in from being on vacation. Flying in to the airport over at the 'city' and I told him I'd pick him up....flight due in at 10:45pm and about a 40 minute drive to and from.....going to be a late night for me tonight.
