Germany. The winter weather was like you mentioned. Brutal. Frozen feet, frozen hands, frozen ass, frozen face. It wasn't like I could say no. I worked many winters in the Boston area washing trucks. Funny. When I came to Florida to celebrate Christmas in 1978, I was in my bathing suit sitting by a pool drinking adult beverages and barbaqueing. I said to myself I could do this every Christmas. I got out of the service in February 1979 and moved to South Florida. Been here for 40 years now. Only experience cold weather when I want to now. That's not too often. |
