Good Evening CGs!

Been fighting with the wife's car the past few days. What I thought was a bad CV axle turned out to be a bad front u-joint on the driveshaft. It's a "staked" design which is supposed to be non serviceable. If you grind down the peened area in the yoke you can press out the u-joints. Unfortunately these were seized in there pretty good. Fought with it last night and gave up. I decided to give it another go today. I was able to press the joint out enough to cut the end off the bearing cap and then drive the sleeves out with an air hammer. Got the new u-joints installed in the driveshaft. Still haven't installed the driveshaft in the car yet. Let's hope it works.

Took the kids for ice cream and then to run some errands. They are getting ready for bed soon. That hour we lost is noticeable today.

Hope everyone had a great day!
