I will say, and I have said it before that Nebraska has a world class medical system with world class doctors. The facilities across the State are state of the art and so are all the folks who run them. We are very fortunate. Ok so the lung Doc looked at the tests and determined I have scarring from Histoplasmosis which is a fungus that can get in the lungs. It comes from bird poop mainly but can live in the soil and everywhere. The bodies immune system calcifies the fungus and that takes care of it but it leaves some scar tissue and that is what the Scan picked up. With that said the Doc wants me back in 6 months to take another CT to make sure the nodule has not grown. I am low risk since giving up smoking almost 40 years ago. If I was high risk they would do a biopsy. Then on to do an ultrasound of my kidney's to see what that anomaly was that showed up on the scan. Will know that on Monday or Tuesday. I consider this my 100,000 mile check up. Replace some fluids and get a new belt or two put on and check the belt tensioners. Do a service on the Tranny......you know the drill....... I so do appreciate your prayers and kind good wishes........ In the meantime I will keep the hammer down..... weather is nasty here today. I80 is closed from the 312 MM west because of wind and blizzard. Big trucks parked all over out at the I80 exchange........ more later... |
