Patrick was not his given name but took it when he became a priest. he was not born in Ireland but was born in Scotland or Wales. Before 1961 all the bars were closed on St, Patrick's Day. It wasn't until the commercialists got a hold of it and turned it into the day we celebrate today. Did the car dealerships have a St Patrick's Day Luck of the Irish Special? Helped Sue with a small job this morning which meant we got up at 06:00. Did some grocery shopping after and later I took a nice 2 1/2 hour nap. Woke up and took care of all the critters and a few chores. Back to putting a dent in the lounger. |
