Now is farming dangerous? Yes very dangerous..... anhydrous ammonia is lethal and I do think we will see the end of that usage in the next decade or two.... lot of farmers are switching to liquid Nitrogen but it cost about .10 cents more a lb of N then the ammonia. So most will go for the cheap stuff. Also corn and plants in general use tons of C02 to thrive and when there is corn fields for thousands of miles in every direction...it is not harming the environment it is using CO2 in huge amounts..... which does not really matter anyway. If we could get our CO2 percentage up to 1% we would be seeing 400 bushel corn all the time. So atmospheric CO2 is a good thing..... just thought you should know....... |
