Was up just before 05:30 to run a delivery around the middle Keys. 2 hour drive down, 1 hour unload, return trip and a couple of chores at the nursery. 6 1/2 hour day. I got rained on pretty good by a passing t-storm. Went from dry to soaked in less than 30 seconds. Went home, stripped off my clothes (Whoo-hoo!) and since I was undressed I figured a nap was in order. Good nap too. 1 1/2 hours took the edge off. I guess being retired means you get to take a nap every now and then ....... Oh ya. While I was driving through the Keys I realized that those were some of the same views I was looking at 40 years ago when I moved to South Florida. I enjoyed some beautiful and captivating views from the roadway. Lots has changed down there. Too many Vulcan people. The place I delivered to is a place I could live. Key Colony Beach, just north of Marathon, though the area is pretty heavily policed. 25 mph speed limit and some 15 mph zones as well. Most of the residents are ... ah ..... elderly .... lol |
