Morning guys....Perfect day? Yea, it was a perfect day yesterday, 71 and no wind (< 10mph). Today it 51 already and headed towards the mid to upper 80s. Church today isn't until 8:30pm (have to wait until it's almost dark), so we have the whole day to get things done.

Rosie did get the final details stripped on the old rocker last night. About 8pm, I looked at my phone (I had put it on "do not disturb" for church at 3 and forgot to turn it back on), and found a message from Father, asking me to call another lady in the parish. So I call and she tells me he wants the Easter candle holder cut down. This one that 7 or 8 years ago the priest wanted me to make taller, so I was able to modify two smaller ones to make it taller....so we made a call to Father, he was on his way home from the other parish he serves (30 miles away) and found out what he wanted for sure. I refuse to cut up the existing pieces as they were made by the priest, almost 60 years ago, when the current church building was built. So what I told father was, I could separate the two pieces, and that would shorten it by 18". It wasn't what he was thinking, but agreed to that. So at 8:45 I took the candle holder home and took the two apart. When I got them apart, the lower section, which was the part we were using, didn't look too good and it wasn't as big as Father really wanted, so I added a top piece to finish off the top....and while I was at it I decided to make it bigger to satisfy him. So at 10pm I was turning that piece on the lathe. I finished it up and by 11:15 I took it back to the church. Hopefully it will surprise Father that it is done...and he will like it.

Have a wonderful day.
