I hope you’re all having a good weekend. I’ve been absent a while.
No vacation or anything as fun as that, just work and home issues.
All is well at the work 20, but the house is creating its own issues.
Two weeks ago we discovered water coming from an enclosed wall.
The opposite side of this wall was once garage/ utility space.
Upon investigation we moved furniture and found water dripping from outlets on both sides of the wall. After removing the outlets, I found it to be hot water, and the leak stopped by closing the water heater valve. It took a plumber to find and fix the leak, but now we’ve found the leak had been active for an unknown period of time. The former garage side of the wall now has a subfloor and it’s so shallow a camera is unable to make the turn to see if water is there as well.
Currently we’ve gotten the help of a company to take care of things, but they’ve changed their prognosis since the insurance company stated that the “M(old)” word isn’t covered. Apparently, most policies don’t, you have to get a rider for it.
So the the adventure continues here in Bobville.
I really appreciate being able to come to this forum to get rid of the steam from this kinda stuff. They say good things happen for good people. Maybe I need to re-examine my approach to things?
Have a good week everyone.
