Re: Mothers Day Chat 2019

Through some debacle of confusion MIL and FIL did not stay for dinner last night. They wanted to come down and see the nursery. They really haven't been down to see the new set up. Upon arrival her mom told her they could only stay a short while as they had made dinner plans with a family friend. That left us feeling like I cleaned the house, baked some chicken breasts, made a salad, set the table all while Sue was at work. Sue had made an Eggplant Parmesan Friday night. One of her mom's favorites. FIL is going deaf and doesn't hear $#!+ without his hearing aid. Sue's mom is really starting serious signs of aging as well. She also can't hear, has CRS (Can't Remember $#!+), has suffered from diabetes for many years now and is getting less mobile as time goes by. Sue deals with it by getting angry at her mom. That's just Sue. She wants everybody to just snap out of it. Even with me. She thinks I'm thirty-something. I keep telling her at 65 I'm not working anymore. She's always the negotiator. Well, you can still make deliveries to the job sites, can't you? Me being easy I said I'll make your job site deliveries and cut the grass. THAT'S IT! I know I'll never stop getting the calls about something that's broken and it's an emergency or some other dire situation that if I don't help she'll have to find some way to do it herself. Woe is me. Oh, woe is me .........
