Same here... cloudy and cool... but where I live, we are close to the ocean, and that means really cool... The high won't hit 70 if the sun doesn't come out.

I mentioned my smog hell... I found the most anal smog station in SoCal... most stations care about the results 0 does the car sniff clean, or, in the case of ODBII, the computer scan. And my C6 passed accordingly... until they just had to validate the CARB EO# of the BBK Cold Air Intake. Apparently, BBK only had the intake certified for 2005... even tho it fits 2005-2007... and they flunked me for tampering.

Not happy... I went looking for a fix and NO ONE makes an aftermarket cold air intake... oh, and BBK was useless.

So I had to go OEM. After finding a used one for $250 on ebay, I got new filters and swapped it... then still had to pay $25 for a retest.

I then head down for the retest... and the tech says my car is federal and not CA approved!!! OMG! I have to go to a dealer to get some test done and get a sticker. I swear, how many more things are they going to dig up?

I was now about livid. The DMV inspector said the car was ok...

So the tech heads to the car again and shows me the smog sticker... which clearly states "certified for federal and CA standards". Duh, the car is legal.

So he does the retest.

The reality is that ODBII standards are the same for all 50 states. The difference is in enforcement.

I suspect every car says the same thing now...
