Love Alaska in the summertime. That's one place Sue and I could go over and over again. My day was compromised with nursery stuff. Sue wants me to watch the booth at the Summer Fruit Fest so she can attend a funeral tomorrow. Not on the top of my list of things I want to do. The woman who passed was an important figure in the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians and we have known her and her family for at least 25 years. She's been suffering the past few years. Sue was one of her favorite people. She even made Sue a tribal ceremonial dress. A high honor for an outsider. One by one the oldtimers are gone. |
