Haven't had a day off in almost two weeks. I finally got a chance to work on the Corvette the other day. If you recall I was having problems with what seemed like an ignition misfire. After eliminating pretty much that entire system I came to the theory that I had a bad rocker arm or bad lifter. Thursday evening I took off the driver's side valve cover and found the picture below. I snapped off a rocker arm stud. Great. Although to be honest with you, I'm glad I found the problem and it's not as bad as I thought it could be. I don't have to tear into the engine to replace a hydraulic lifter. I have to stop by the Speed Shop this morning and see if they have rocker studs in stock. Sounds like everyone has been keeping busy. TB, I fixed a chair myself the other day. The kids decided to stand on one of the dining room chairs and of course broke the MDF board that holds the cushion. I don't particularly care for upholstery but it needed to be fixed. That got done and luckily it turned out well. Tommy, good luck with the hurricane. I hope it passes without any trouble. Hope everyone has a great day! |
