I inspected the lifter more closely. It didn't collapse as much as it exploded. That's right. The top of the plunger actually came out of the lifter body. I found the plunger top in the lifter valley. I didn't find the oil control disc, though. That's a problem. I'm hoping it fell in the oil pan instead of getting chewed up. I have to drain the oil and pull the filter and cut that open. The cam is up in the air right now. Not sure if I need to change it. I have a buddy looking at it Saturday who knows more than me about that. Never a dull moment, right? Hope everyone has a great day! |
