My neighbor came over to help Rosie and I when he got back in from driving the school bus, from 9:15 until about 11 (when he drove the noon time run). Very shortly after he left another friend happened by and he stayed and helped until we left for lunch, about 12:15. I went over and met with the insurance adjuster at the older couples house, whom I am ramrodding the repairs. Then abut the time I finished there, My neighbor text me that he was back and ready to help again, so back we went where we finished the north side up shortly after 1pm. While we finished the north side Rosie was pulling siding off the west side. So we got firing on the west side....just about then my neighbor says he has to leave for the afternoon run, so Rosie and I just were ready to call #3 GS to come help us start the starter row on the west side and the other friend shows back up (I know there is a god, as he was watching over us today), So we just kept on going. about 4:45 neighbor shows back up and we continue kicking butt, but, mother-nature caught up with us, and it started getting dark, with, maybe 3 rows left to finish the west end. So my goal of the north side done was surpassed by a ton as we almost finished the west end as well. Tomorrow, I am basically by myself, unless neighbor comes over after his morning run, or the other friend...well see. The east end has the garage door, so it is a bunch of shorter pieces which I can do basically by myself, until I get above the top of the door. It was a good day, and with the help of Rosie and friends, I got a lot done. |
