Went out this morning and found it had died. Pulled it out and I saw a tail in it's mouth. Turns out he had swallowed a Pleco, a suckermouth catfish that was a little to big for it to swallow and got lodged in its throat. I try to care for my critters as best I can but some things you just have no control over. I try not to bond too much with the animals but I end up bonding anyway. I know the Koi pretty much by their markings and often look at them to see how they're doing. Even watch over the the other species in the pond. Plecos, cichlids, fresh water shark and a couple of random others. LOL I have too many interests. Always have and always will. |
