The electric panel outside is up and they are almost ready for the first inspection tomorrow. The system I am getting does not have batteries so I'm not off the grid. It will offset how much I am charged monthly by how much I generate. Any excess is paid at .02 per kilowatt generated. The power company charges 09 per kilowatt so it's not really for profit. Battery tech has not advanced to the point where I want to be off grid. Then you have to replace your battery bank in 5-7 years. $$$$$ If you lived in the sticks I would go that way. There will be 78 panels on my back roof. My monthly electric bill should be $9.75 a month for administrative fees. The system should generate 100% of what we use. |
