I've got some stuff to do in the shop, hard to get motivated when it going to get so freaking hot. Had a guy call me and ask if I was interested in some used lumber, so I went out to look. It was really cool greyed out lumber that come off the bed of a truck. (the truck had a big tank on it, which they used to load an aerial sprayer plane) They replaced it with a steel bed. So GS #3 and I loaded it up and took it home. I put him to work with a wire brush on a drill cleaning it up. While I worked on something else. I came out while he was working on the second one and caught a whiff of chemical smell (pretty strong) and decided that the chemical smell and probably the residue, couldn't be removed sufficiently, to make me feel comfortable enough to work any more on it or do anything with. It was a very dense and heavy wood, probably Ipe...just not worth the risks. So we hauled it to the dump. How's the modifications for the third bay going Marc? Gris, I guess you are describing me there as well. I didn't realize I was a bad guy.... |
