Subject: Re: 14 JUNE 20 by TommyT-Bone on 2020/6/14 18:00:55 Read the white privilege post from the other day. I have supported equal rights since the 60's. I am not a racist I just don't like assholes no matter the color. There is one race. The human race. Lives matter. If people don't like my position or how I say it that's their problem, not mine. If equal opportunity is squandered and no effort is made to succeed that's a personal choice. I think I get riled up because they're trying to force me to believe something I've been practicing all my life. To me I take it as an insult. I try to avoid the news about Covid and the racist black lives matter movement. It's impossible. It's on every source of contact. The web, television, printed media, you name it. I'm looking for it to get covered by the sands of time. Till then I'll avoid the assholes. Sue is still recovering. Her ankle wound blew open under the stitches and she has a big wound healing from the inside out. This makes 7 months of surgical recovery with her eye first then two foot surgeries. I'll be glad when this phase is over as well. I have a friend whose mother was in the hospital and had cardiac arrest. They tried CPR for over a half hour but the doctors had declared she was beyond recovery. The doctor told my friend that her mother had passed. She went in to hold her mothers hand. Her mothers body was convulsing. The medical staff said it was because of the drugs they had pumped into her to try and keep her alive. After awhile she went home only to get a call that her mother was still alive and breathing. She went back to the hospital where the staff told her the needed a DNR order and they could then turn her mother over to hospice care. She could last for a couple of days or a couple of weeks. So her mother was dead. Then her mother was alive again. Within 24 hours her mother passed. Talk about a roller coaster. I've been busy today. Making up for the past few of not doing much physically. |
