Good quality photo there Gris.

And U-man, I feel your pain on the electrical gremlins. Like Tommy sez, be glad it’s on a ‘56, and not on something new.
On my 1st Vette, a ‘68 vert, I was at a mall and came out to find it wouldn’t start, and had nothing but headlights. I got it home and started trying to diagnose the issue and it bafffled me for 4 months. It would start and run, but if I turned on the headlights it died with only headlights working. Let it sit a few days and it would start again, until the headlights came on. Finally after having done an unsuccessful marathon on it to find the issue, a day or two later I found that disconnecting the bulkhead connector and re-connecting it did things come back on, until I turned on the headlights. Out of just plain luck, I went to Radio Shack and got a can of “tuner cleaner” for TVs. I sprayed the crap out of both halves of the b’head connector, fastened it back together and started the car. Then tried turning on the headlights and it stayed running. So just by being thorough about my connections I fixed the issue and was able to drive my Vette again after dark. Again, it took about 4 months To figure it out.
