MIL accompanied by FIL and their nephew (Sue's cousin) are on their way to the University of Pennsylvania hospital by med evac plane. They are going to the university hospital and have a world renowned cardiac specialist planning to perform surgery. Sue's cousin made contact with the doctor that saved his fathers life and gave his father a few more years. He also provided the med evac plane for his aunt so she could go to Philadelphia. Sue's mom was given just a short time to live. The surgery is very risky but if successful she could live for years. Sue and her cousin talked my FIL into taking the risk. It was pretty much take her home to die or risk the surgery. We shall see what we shall see. I think I would do the same if it was me. Die in surgery or die in a couple of weeks at home. Neither sounds good but one has potential.

A GAMBLE IS JUSTIFIED IN A NO WIN SITUATION.
