Re: FRIDAY THE 21ST

I have to prep for another storm. I left my panels up on 3 of the front windows as that takes the most time. The shutters slide closed so I can button up the rest of the house pretty quick. I took the panels off the big window in the living room after the last threat left. Started grocery shopping for the storm last night. More shopping today and a bank run. On my last few days of DIRECTV. They bumped my bill up to $124. They offered me $90 plus tax (around $100). I told them nope. Too much. I would keep them at about $72 a month plus tax. That would be around $20 a week. More than enough for what I watch. I'll be watching FireTV, Netflix and get my news and weather off the the computer. Next up I'm trimming home phone services. To just the phones and internet with no optional charges. That will still cost me at least $120 a month. Right now I'm paying $190 with Caller ID Advantage package and Unlimited long distance. Long distance will go to the cellphones and all calls will go to the answering machine. (My new caller ID). I'm trimming the fat. Whether I can afford it is not the issue. It's the corporate gouging I'm eliminating. I've been talking about it for years. Now I'm actually doing it.
