Re: SUNDAY THE 30TH

Good evening, all.

A busy couple of days. After we got home from Carlisle on Friday afternoon, I started to work on the 430 (!) photos I took. We went out for a celebratory steak dinner with our favorite waiter hosting us on Friday evening. Ivelis had the tomahawk—that's all I'm saying …

I spent a good portion of Saturday finishing up with the Carlisle photos. Still, we had a big event on for Saturday evening—a celebration of my youngest (of five) sister's engagement to a worthy gentleman. We provided individual (good) champagne bottles and glasses for twelve. A good time was had by all at the ancestral Mulhern Craftsman.

This morning, errands and taking the parents back and forth to church. But, the weather this afternoon was gorgeous: 75 degrees, 65% humidity, partly sunny, "Simpsons clouds." So, I decided to give Grace a ride—even if she didn't get Carlisle this year, she'd still get a drive on Corvettes at Carlisle weekend. After a little bit of detailing—the wheels needed help—we headed out. We drove for almost 90 minutes along some of the more distinctive local backroads, with everything just beautiful. Grace's engine rumbled quietly but authoritatively, and people were waving like crazy—often from very cool cars of their own. We're both so glad we took the drive.
