And to think just 50 years ago you were lucky to have a color tv.

I remember in 1964 my Mom and Dad got a summer job teaching Peace Corps trainees in Gainesville Florida that were going to Brazil... my folks had spent about 5 years in Brazil as Missionaries out on what was then the frontier.... Spent all summer down there in one of the dorms and this was before AC......we had fans......

One of the things my Dad splurged on when we got back to Kansas was a console Motorola Quasar Color TV.....it had a square tube...not round like the RCA's had.... it cost a $1,000 dollars in 1964 money.... that is the equivalent of $8 large today.... are you kidding me?

It was all worth it when we saw our first NBC Peacock in living color...... all the neighbors would come over and want to watch Bonanza....Mom and Dad let them in had folding chairs set up........56 years ago...... pretty amazing how far its come........
