GS #2 and 3 along with a neighbor and Rosie helped out moving the top out in the little breeze we were having (40 to 50mph with gusts to 70), The clients were tickled pink with the countertops. I left a piece as a backsplash for them to decide if they wanted that. Then Rosie, the GSs and I headed over to the 'city' as Rosie promised them to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. On the north side of the 'city' are two overpasses, and at the top of the first one a semi was laying over on it's side, victim of one of those 70mph gusts....lucky for him it was just before the "gap" over the rairoad tracks. On the way home a crane was there and had the truck back on it's wheels. On the way home, I got a call from the countertops guy, his wife loved the backsplash and wants them put in...I told him I probably would not get to it until after Christmas, "No problem". Well, I went back out to the shop and thought, I know the dimensions, I may as well go ahead and do them...... Rosie came out and noticed I had them done and said "We may as well take them out and install them." Yup, I finished them up. I think I'm done doing stuff for the year...well, stuff for pay. I might need to do something for myself..... Glad to hear you're so negative Bob.  If only that were True Gris... Matt, I hope you and yours recover quickly. Tommy, when we go we never win...so we don't go very often. |
