A lady that called me about doinga countertop for her a couple weeks back called again yesterday to update me on when I can come do it. She's waiting on the appliance guy to come back and stack the washer/dryer. She told me the plan had changed a bit and that she needed me to move the upper cabinets that are above the w/d from one side to the other. So went out yesterday afternoon to do that ahead of the appliance guy coming back. It was pretty straight forward, but, when I got them moved, the corner the cabinets were covering was all hacked up from the existing install. The sheetrock finisher had built the corner up so much the cabinets wouldn't fit square, so they hacked up the rock. I knew that wasn't going to work, so I went home and grabbed my sheetrock tools, tape and mud and went back out to fix that. It's never as easy and straight forward as things appear. I got a pretty smooth finish with the one coat, but I probably will have to go out and put a second coat on, I've left that up to her, if she wants me to come put another on, she's yo call me. |
