Re: TUESDAY 5 APRIL

Hey guys, been MIA for a while.

Back from vacation, and trying to catch up on the work that was put on hold while I was gone.

I've been checking in, but not taking the time to post anything. I see on FB that Letty's cousin passed away today. Prayers to her and the rest of the family.

Our trip home from Myrtle Beach, was delayed by a couple hours because of the software glitch that affected several airlines, and, the fact that our plane hauled a "Honor Flight". More than 100 veterans, 40+ in wheelchairs, which took a considerable longer time to load and unload them. I was talking to the staff on the plane while we had a quick unload and load in Chicago, they were apologizing for the delay, I told them that I had gone on an Honor Flight with my FIL, and that the good those trips made to the vets who attended was more than worth the effort and if it had delayed us 4 or 6 hours, I would have been OK with that.

Well, work kept me busy the last couple of days. Nearly finishing up the big commercial job I'm doing over in the 'city'. Should have finished, but they added another 'little' project for me.

Went today to watch my GS run in the trackmeet. Finished 1st in the 4x800 relay and 3rd in the open 3200. Well pleased with his dedication to distance running.

Before we left for vaca, a gentleman in our church put out a request for help. He was to have a total shoulder replacement, and needed help getting home from Wichita(4 hour drive) after being released "I'm willing to pay". I talked to him and Rosie and I will drive down the day he is released, and I'll drive him home. He came by last night to give me the second key for his car and tried to give me money ($300) for doing this for him. I told him to keep his money, that we were doing this to help him out. He's does not have a lot of money, so this gesture on our part really moved him. Well, he has surgery in the morning and will be released Thursday, so, hopefully he will be released Thursday.

OK. enough for today...headed to bed.
