Hello. I see I was sorely missed. A big storm came through Saturday and dropped over 10" of rain flooding my yard for the 6th time since I've been here. I'm sure the 19 new houses they built across the street contributed to a higher level in our yard than in the past. DSL just got up and running . Knocked it out on Saturday. Flooded again on Sunday then on Tuesday. Picked up another 10 inches of rain betyween Monday and Tuesday. The saturated ground couldn't absorb it so back to high water again and again. The flood waters have dropped so now just a puddle back by my lawn shed. I'll probably be able to get the lawnmower out tomorrow. The house stayed dry. The outside cars had water to the base of the rims. The garage had about 3 inches of water in it. Had everything up off the floor so no damage that wasn't already done to an old cabinet in the corner. The big tortoises didn't have a dry spot so Sue and I made a spot for them Sunday. The potbellied pig stayed in the patio for two nights. The smaller tortoises stayed in their enclosure. Sue has me too busy as usual.
