Loe ran nearly as fast as last week 19:12 vs 19:02 last week. Last week that placed him 7th, this week, 29th....competition was much stiffer. Nice cool starts to the day, mid to upper 50s but climbs into the mid to upper 90s by 4pm. Still dog sitting for GS #1 while they are off to a wedding in Nebraska. Rosie and I decided we would take the dog back over to the 'city' to save them a trip here when they get back. I told Rosie "Let's take in a movie while we are over there." So we decided to go to the 1:15 show, they should be back about the time the movie is out, as per their phone call. Well, about an hour later, they call to say they were on the side of the road with a flat tire. Still over 4 hours away from home I told them to head to the nearest Walmart to have the tire repaired, do NOT try to drive that far on a donut. Well, the tire can't be repaired, so they will be getting a new tire and now arrival home time is 8pm. So not wanting the dog to be home that long by himself, we have decided to take in a later showing. |
