Some much needed rain and more due in this weekend. Was 46 when I went to work. Am absolutely not a fan. Pretty easy day at the office except for a call from the owner that riled me up first thing. A dude called a while back about wanting the Smokey and the Bandit artwork on the side of a semi. I will not use copyrighted artwork especially of that prominence. I mean little things, maybe but not something like that, on the side of a semi no less. I prefer not to be sued or cause the owner here to lose his business. I explained that to the guy and offered to use my photoshop skills and our own artwork to create something for him 'very' similar that we could get by with to give him the same look and told him the price and pointed him to my fb page where he could see some examples of my "scene creating". Told him I had full confidence I could do this for him. Never heard back. Well apparently he's badmouthing me all over town telling people I acted like I wasn't interested in doing his trucks and it got back to owner who called me. I set all that shit straight and if I see that dude I'll set him straight too. No, I'm NOT interested in violating copyright laws. Period. And I offered to create an alternative. Then I"m told he found someone to "draw" that scene then digitize it and that's what he's using. That "designer" did it for free. Sorry, not me. That kinda work is pricey from me and it's hourly till I get done and you're happy. I don't work for free other than charity work I do and I do my share. that was all around 10am and I"m still shaking and fuming. I've had it with people today all the way around up here. |
