Re: THURSDAY THE TWOTH

Morning guys...chilly this morning, not as bad as the last several days though. 21 on the back porch. Headed to the mid to upper 40s they say.

Busy day yesterday. Up and around got a message from #2 with a picture of a blown out tire. Not a huge deal, except we were scheduled to be over in the 'city' within an hour (watching GGD). And GS#3 needed the car to go to the 'city' for class, and if he tried to change it, he would have been late to school. So while she had one of the guys she works with change the tire, I went down to the tire shop to see if they had some replacements. Got her car to the tire shop and her back to work. Back home in time to head to the 'city'.

Had to pick up some materials for a job I'm doing and get those picked up and Rosie says we need to go to get over to GSs house in time for him to head to work. So I check out, load up and head to the Chevy dealer to drop off the pickup for recall repair (9:45 now and 1pm appointment), jump into the Caddy with Rosie and get to GS house just in time for him to make it to work on time. But as I pull up, my phone starts ringing and it's my buddy who is helping with the storage shed at church, he wants me to pick up some materials we need to finish that up...so I take the Caddy and go back to Menards and pick those up. Then back to GS place and by then Rosie is saying we need to eat. As GS#3 is coming by to pick me up and take me with him to his college class (carpentry) and then after, take me back to get my pickup. While Rosie and GD-in-law take GGD to get her 6month shots. That's why Rosie couldn't take me back to the dealer to get my pickup.

GS #3 picks me up to head to class (BTW his teacher is a young man who, while in college, did his observation days under my supervision), so I've been invited to come and visit whenever. As we pull up to the building, 12:30, my phone rings and it's the Chevy dealer telling me they have my pickup done.....what the Hay? It's too late for GS to take me down as he needs to get to class. So I call Rosie and tell her it's done, so when she and GD-in-law leave, I have her come by the school and pick me up and take me to the dealer and I head home.

I unload the materials I've bought and then the local lumberyard calls and tells me they are ready to drop off the siding and roofing metal for the shed and would someone be over there to show them where set them down. So I run up there. Then back home to prepare for the church council meeting and after that, Knights of Columbus meeting... finally home about 10pm.

Today, I hope it is not nearly as hecktic.
