Hey guys..... Long day. Need to back up to yesterday evening... Finished watching the dance recital and headed to a place to eat. While on the way there, I dodged a big pothole in the road and hit another huge one. Didn't see it at all (twilight lighting). Hit so hard I'm surprised the airbags weren't deployed. Car was shaking some. Rosie said it sounded like a shotgun went off in the car. Quick visual didn't reveal anything.

So our first place we stopped this morning was a tire shop. The gentleman there didn't have time to put it on the rack, but, said it was safe to drive home, but it would probably be annoying though. I found out that the faster I drove (to a point) the smoother it ran, leading me to believe it was bent wheels. It was the worst at between 35 and 55mph.

As soon as I got the car unloaded, I took it down to our local tire shop where he took it out for a short drive. He said that he thought the rear wheel was the culprit. We put it on the rack and found both the front and rear wheels on the drivers side had big dents (for lack of a better description) on the inside of the wheels. The front was actually the worse of the two. I have ordered two 'new' (refurbished) wheels from Rock Auto. Local salvage yard found some in New Jersey, nearly the same price as the refurbed ones. So I opted for the refurbed ones. Local guy says he won't be able to tell if the tires are damaged (no visual damage) until we get them mounted on new wheels and see how they balance out. New wheels were $800 delivered.
