I pulled some plants out of the house and put on the back patio, Arron will drag some out of the pool house at noon. Thus starts the outside spring cleaning. Have Vette stuff going all weeked, not sure I'll go to any of it, dinner cruise a couple hours away Saturday (when I need to work in the yard) and another run an hour away in the evening coupled with a 'photo shoot' night scene for everyone Sunday. Girl taking pics is a new club member (not professional photog) and she’s charging $25 each and will provide digitals to each person. Now, I have a sensitive question, club etiquette I guess? So far I plan to attend and get my picture too but did see an email about the $ for it and low interest due to it. I'm mixed. Most of us do in kind stuff for other members when we can, or discounts. I like to support someone’ side hustle as I like my own supported too. And, I did this same thing for a bunch of us while on a fall trip. I took my good camera, took everyone’s photo with their car at that park, (look up Maplewood Cemetery Arkansas), retouched images, adjusted, sent digitals and gave prints to everyone 8x10. No fee. I saw it as a way to contribute to my fellow members. But, it wasn’t my side hustle and I could afford it. I have no issues paying her as I know what it entails and she’s not near as well off as some others are. However, I did see an email in the thread today that someone thought it was tacky. What are y’all thoughts? I kinda want to speak up then I also feel I need to keep my head down, and not start mess, go get my picture took (if we are able to go), pay her and go on about my own business . |
