The engine was basisally removed and torn down, resealed and deficient parts replaced. Sue said she's running great. Should be good for years to come. If we we're going to keep it (which we are) might as well keep it in tip top shape. We've had it for 18 years now with no major issues. Every once and awhile we had to spend a few $$$ on it. Like when we first got it we got it in top running order. In 2005 I had a new top put on and the wheels rechromed. The top looks like new and the wheels are for the most part holding up. A little pitting. Paint and body are great. It's worth over 3x what we paid for it in 05. It's part of the family. $4200 labor and the rest was parts. |
