I'll bet it won't taste any worse than ham and lima beans c-rats. And it damn sure won't be any harder on you. I've eaten SEVERAL c-rats from the late 40s and early 50s back in 70's. Either that or worms and other indigious stuff that smelled and looked a lot worse. If the can don't poff when the p-38 first cracks it open, it'll do. Now they put some tabasco sause in the mre's to cover up the taste. Hell, one time I ate some long rats that where about 10 years old, they'd been in my jeep tool compartment for 3 or 4 years and didn't have any holes in the bag. Way past the date on the package. bill |
